The 23rd Annual Convention of the Diocese of East Tennessee met Feb. 9-10, 2007, at the Park Vista Hotel in Gatlinburg, Tenn.

The Most Rev. Katharine Jefferts Schori, presiding bishop and primate of the Episcopal Church, spoke Saturday morning before approximately 750 officials, delegates and visitors. The convention's theme and her topic was the mission of the church as seen through the lens of the Millennium Development Goals.
